Manage your profile preferences

From the profile page, you can manage all sorts of goodies:

  • Edit your personal information, preferences, and password.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication.
  • View recent login history.

Manage your profile inside Perch by clicking on your avatar at the top right of the navigation and selecting My Profile.

Preferences

In the Preferences panel, you can edit personal information, general preferences, and email preferences.

  • Personal information
    • Edit your first and last name.
  • General preferences
    • Enable UTC timestamps.
    • Show timestamps in a 24-hour format.
    • Enable or disable the since you’ve been gone section on the dashboard.
    • Automatically open links in new tabs (when applicable).
    • Adjust the amount of time it takes for Perch to automatically log you out after inactivity.
  • Email preferences
    • Tired of all the email notifications you’ve been getting? While we try to limit our emails to what is most important to our users, we know it can be a bit overwhelming. Feel free to turn off any or all notifications.

Change password

You can update your password in the Change Password panel. However, if you’re using single sign-on (SSO), your password must be changed through your SSO provider.

Advanced preferences

Made for power users who like to get into the nitty-gritty, the Advanced Preferences panel lets you manage additional preferences and further optimize Perch. If you’re curious about these settings, reach out to us and we’ll get you squared away.

Multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) helps secure your account against unauthorized access in the event your password becomes compromised.

From the Multi-factor Authentication panel, you can enable or disable MFA. You can also view the status of your MFA within the panel (you may need to refresh the status).

Note:

If you want to enforce mandatory multi-factor authentication for all users in your organization, go to Settings > Security.

Recent login history

You can view your most recent logins, including failed login attempts, in the Recent Login History panel. You can also view the source IP and user agent that was used to log in.

If you want to view or print your full login history, click launch in the top right section of the panel.

Note:

If you want to view the login history for your entire organization, go to Settings > Login History.
